Four CFISD soccer teams earn area postseason victories

Langham Creek High School senior Antonio Rios and the Lobos defeated Aldine Eisenhower, 4-0, on March 30 to advance to the region quarterfinal round of the Class 6A postseason. Langham Creek will face Klein Forest at 7:30 p.m. on April 1 at Klein Memorial Stadium. April 1, 2021—Four CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer teams won their respective Region II-6A and Region-III 6A area playoff matches.  

District 16-6A girls’ soccer results are as follows:

Cypress Woods High School ended its season with a 3-0 loss to The Woodlands. The Wildcats were District 16-6A’s second seed and area finalists.

District 16-6A boys’ soccer results are as follows:

Langham Creek High School defeated Aldine Eisenhower, 4-0. The Lobos advance to the region quarterfinal round to face Klein Forest at 7:30 p.m. on April 1 at Klein Memorial Stadium (16607 Stuebner Airline Road.)

Bridgeland High School defeated The Woodlands, 1-0. The Bears advance to the region quarterfinal round to face Aldine MacArthur at 6 p.m. on April 3 at Klein Oak High School (22603 Northcrest Dr.)

Cypress Springs High School ended its season with a 2-0 loss to Aldine MacArthur. The Panthers were District 16-6A’s third seed and area finalists.

District 17-6A girls’ soccer results are as follows:

Cy-Fair High School defeated Fort Bend Ridge Point, 3-1. The Bobcats advance to the region quarterfinal round to face Katy Seven Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on April 2 at Katy ISD Legacy Stadium (1830 Katyland Dr.)

Cypress Creek High School ended its season with a 4-0 loss to Katy Seven Lakes. The Cougars were District 17-6A’s second seed and area finalists.

District 17-6A boys’ soccer results are as follows:

Jersey Village High School defeated Fort Bend Dulles, 4-2. The Falcons advance to the region quarterfinal round to face Katy Cinco Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on April 1 at Pridgeon Stadium (11355 Falcon Road.)

Cy-Fair ended its season with a 4-2 loss to Katy Tompkins. The Bobcats were District 17-6A’s second seed and area finalists.

Cypress Ridge High School ended its season with a 2-0 loss to Katy Seven Lakes. The Rams were District 17-6A’s third seed and area finalists.

Tickets for all regional quarterfinal games will be sold at the gate for $5 apiece (adults and students).
