Cypress Woods High School junior Alex Reilly and the Wildcats defeated Klein Collins 3-1 in overtime on March 25 to advance to the area round of the Class 6A postseason. Cypress Woods will face The Woodlands at 6:30 p.m. on March 30 at Klein Oak High School.
March 29, 2021—Nine CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer teams won their respective Region II-6A and Region III-6A bi-district playoff matches.
District 16-6A girls’ soccer results are as follows:
Cypress Woods High School defeated Klein Collins 3-1 in overtime. The Wildcats advance to the area round to face The Woodlands at 6:30 p.m. on March 30 at Klein Oak High School (22603 Northcrest Dr.)
Bridgeland High School ended its season with a 1-0 loss to Klein Cain in overtime. The Bears were District 16-6A champions and bi-district finalists.
Langham Creek High School ended its season with a 6-0 loss to Tomball. The Lobos were District 16-6A’s third seed and bi-district finalists.
Cypress Ranch High School ended its season with a 2-1 loss to Tomball Memorial in overtime. The Mustangs were District 16-6A’s fourth seed and bi-district finalists.
District 16-6A boys’ soccer results are as follows:
Langham Creek defeated Tomball Memorial in a shootout. The Lobos advance to the area round to face Aldine Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at Cypress Falls High School (9811 Huffmeister Road)
Bridgeland defeated Tomball 4-1. The Bears advance to the area round to face The Woodlands at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at Klein Collins High School (20811 Ella Blvd.)
Cypress Springs High School defeated Klein Cain 2-0. The Panthers advance to the area round to face Aldine MacArthur at 7 p.m. on March 30 at Jersey Village High School (7600 Solomon St.)
Cypress Lakes High School ended its season with a 5-0 loss to Klein Forest. The Spartans were District 16-6A’s fourth seed and bi-district finalists.
Tickets for the Cypress Woods girls’ and Bridgeland boys’ games will be $3 for students and $5 for adults. Tickets for all other District 16-6A contests will be $5 apiece (adults and students). All tickets will be sold at the gate.
Cypress Ridge High School sophomore Javier Escobedo and the Rams defeated Houston Bellaire 4-2 on March 26 to advance to the area round of the Class 6A postseason. Cypress Ridge will face Katy Seven Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at Cypress Ridge High School.
District 17-6A girls’ soccer results are as follows:
Cy-Fair High School defeated Houston Heights 3-0. The Bobcats advance to the area round to face Fort Bend Ridge Point at 6 p.m. on March 30 at Katy Tompkins High School (4400 Falcon Landing Blvd.)
Cypress Creek High School defeated Houston Lamar 2-0. The Cougars advance to the area round to face Katy Seven Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at Katy ISD Legacy Stadium (1830 Katyland Dr.)
District 17-6A boys’ soccer results are as follows:
Jersey Village High School defeated Houston Heights 4-0. The Falcons advance to the area around to face Fort Bend Dulles at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at Pridgeon Stadium (11355 Falcon Road)
Cy-Fair defeated Houston Westside 2-0. The Bobcats advance to the area round to face Katy Tompkins at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at Katy ISD Jordan High School (27500 Fulshear Bend Dr.)
Cypress Ridge High School defeated Houston Bellaire 4-2. The Rams advance to the area round to face Katy Seven Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at Cypress Ridge High School (7900 N. Eldridge Pkwy.)
Tickets for District 17-6A playoff games will be sold at the gate for $5 apiece (adults and students).
