Soccer players named to 2019 All-District 14-6A Teams

April 11, 2019—CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer coaches released the All-District 14-6A Soccer teams following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.

On the boys’ side, Cypress Ranch High School junior Lineker Santos was voted as the district’s Most Valuable Player. Langham Creek High School senior Dylan Heath was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while Cypress Ranch senior Matthew Ferguson was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Cypress Lakes High School earned two superlatives with junior Marcus Rangel earning top Midfield honors and sophomore Ulyses Jaimes tying Langham Creek sophomore Carlos Huato in being named Newcomer of the Year.

Tomball Memorial High School’s Spencer Malone was voted Goalkeeper of the Year.

Cypress Ranch Head Coach Michael Garcia earned Coach of the Year honors after leading the Mustangs to the district title.

On the girls’ side, Cypress Woods High School junior Kiran Singh was voted District MVP. Bridgeland High School junior Emily Wilson tied Bryan High School’s Jane Covey in being named Defensive Player of the Year, while Cypress Woods senior Bailey Peschel was named Offensive Player of the Year.

Cypress Lakes sophomore Priscilla Silva earned top Newcomer honors. Cypress Park High School junior Inioluwa Ojediran was named Goalkeeper of the Year and Langham Creek sophomore Camila Montero was voted Midfielder of the Year.

Cypress Lakes High School junior Marcus Rangel (No. 5) was among two Spartans to earn superlatives on the boys’ soccer All-District 14-6A team, as he was named the Midfielder of the Year.

Cypress Woods Head Coach Amy Trocquet, who led the Wildcats to the district championship, and Bridgeland Head Coach Jacqueline Livingston shared Coach of the Year honors.
