Three CFISD girls’ basketball teams advance to regional quarterfinals

CFISD trio advance to regional quarterfinalsLangham Creek High School senior Kaley Perkins and the Lobos basketball team defeated Conroe Grand Oaks and advance to face Tomball Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Cypress Woods High School.

Feb. 23, 2021—The Cypress Creek, Cypress Springs and Langham Creek high school girls’ basketball teams advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the regional quarterfinals, while Jersey Village High School concluded its season.

Cypress Creek High School defeated Katy Cinco Ranch, 67-29. The Cougars advance to face Houston Heights at 7 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Houston ISD’s Delmar Fieldhouse (2020 Mangum Road).

Cypress Springs High School beat Conroe Oak Ridge, 54-41. The Panthers advance to face Klein Oak at 7 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Bridgeland High School (10707 Mason Road).

Langham Creek High School beat Conroe Grand Oaks, 58-37. The Lobos advance to face Tomball Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Cypress Woods High School (13550 Woods-Spillane Blvd.).

Tickets for all games are $5 each (adults and students).

Cypress Creek game tickets will be sold through Houston ISD.

Cypress Springs and Langham Creek game tickets will be sold at the door.

Jersey Village High School was defeated by Fort Bend Dulles, 75-68. The Falcons were District 17-6A’s second seed and finished their season as area round finalists.
