Trent Faith named head coach, coordinator at Cypress Woods

May 7, 2012Trent Faith, an assistant football coach at Cypress Creek High School, has been named the new head coach and campus athletic coordinator at Cypress Woods High School.

Faith replaces David Jones, who accepted the athletic director and head football coach position at Kerrville Tivy High School this spring.

Faith has served in roles as the defensive coordinator and head strength coach at Cypress Creek since 2002. Prior to that, he coached at Stratford High School (2001-2002), Langham Creek High School (1992-2001), Bloomington High School (1990-1992) and Leander High School (1985-1990).

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Lutheran College and his Master of Education from Prairie View A&M University.

“I am tremendously honored to have been chosen for the head coach and campus coordinator position at Cy Woods High School. I have admired the school and athletic program since they opened,” Faith said. “They have built a great program and I am blessed to become part of their family. This is my dream job.”
