Volleyball player successful at All-American game

Dec. 17, 2012—Cypress Woods High School senior volleyball player Chloe Collins led the West team to a victory at the Under Armour All-American Volleyball Match and Skills Competition in Louisville, Ky., on Sunday.

Collins and the West All-Americans defeated Team East in three sets by scores of 26-24, 25-23 and 18-25.

A University of Texas signee, Collins also won the Best Setter Award during the Under Armour Skills Competition, held in conjunction with the 2012 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Annual Convention at the KFC YUM! Center.

“I would first off like to thank everyone throughout my four years at Cy Woods—from teachers to coaches, family and administration,” Collins said. “I can’t begin to say how truly blessed I am to be around such amazing people every day. My success has been because of your love and support, and for that I say thank you with all my heart and God bless.”
