Volleyball playoffs continue for two CFISD teams in area round

Nov. 6, 2019—The Cy-Fair and Cypress Falls high school volleyball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round, while Bridgeland, Cypress Creek and Langham Creek high schools all concluded their seasons.

Cy-Fair swept Houston Lamar in three sets by the scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-14. The Bobcats will face Katy Seven Lakes at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Cypress Falls High School swept Houston Carnegie Vanguard in three sets and advance to play Katy Cinco Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Katy Paetow High school.

Cypress Falls swept Houston Carnegie Vanguard in three sets by the scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-10. The Golden Eagles advance to face Katy Cinco Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Katy Paetow High School (23111 Stockdick School Road).

Tickets for all games will be sold at the gate for $5 each (adults and students).

Bridgeland was swept by Round Rock in three sets by the scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-21. The Bears were District 14-6A’s top seed and finished the season as bi-district finalists.

Cypress Creek High School senior Paige Underbrink sets against Houston Bellaire on Nov. 4 at Delmar Fieldhouse. The Cougars were defeated by Houston Bellaire in four sets and were District 17-6A’s fourth seed, finishing the season as bi-district finalists.

Langham Creek was defeated by Leander Vista Ridge in four sets by the scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-16 and 25-18. The Lobos were District 14-6A’s second seed and finished the season as bi-district finalists.
