When and where is my graduation ceremony?

All ceremonies will be held outdoors at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Tickets

How many tickets will each graduate receive?

The governor’s order requires outdoor ceremonies meet specific health standards including social distancing, screening all individuals for signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19, and limiting the number of participants. Therefore, each graduate will be limited to a maximum of four guests
 

How do I reserve tickets?

To ensure compliance with social distancing, tickets will be reserved and issued through an online ticketing company. Tickets will be reserved in blocks of four (4) on every other row with six (6) feet between each block.  On Tuesday, May 26, you will receive an email with detailed information on how to select your four tickets (reserved seating) for graduation. Tickets will be available for selection through an online ticketing company according to the following schedule:

  • Wed., 5/27 at 10:00 a.m.
    • Cy-Fair, Cy Creek, Cy Falls, Langham Creek
       
  • Thurs., 5/28 at 10:00 a.m.
    • Cy Lakes, Cy Ranch, Cy Ridge, Cy Springs
       
  • Fri., 5/29 at 10:00 a.m.
    • Bridgeland, Cy Park, Cy Woods, Jersey Village

Are tickets required to access the ceremony?

Reserved seat tickets will be required and scanned upon entry to Cy-Fair FCU Stadium. No one, including small children, will be allowed to enter without a ticket.


Stadium Information

Where do we enter / park?

Entrance and parking at the Berry Center will be designated based on the location of reserved seats.

What is the recommended attire?

Dress comfortably and appropriately for the temperature and humidity. Flat shoes are recommended for the graduates to walk on the turf field.
 

What is the inclement weather plan?

Every effort will be made to hold each ceremony, but in the event of inclement weather, Sunday, June 7 is designated as a rain make-up date. Small umbrellas will be permitted.
 

Can we bring bags into the stadium?

The Berry Center’s Clear Bag Policy is in effect for 2020 graduation ceremonies. See https://www.berrycenter.net/clear-bag-policy for more details. To speed up your entry into the facility, we recommend that you do not bring a bag.

What items are prohibited?

  • Weapons (concealed and open carry prohibited)
  • Food/drink
  • Balloons
  • Flowers
  • Gifts
  • Strollers
  • Signs
  • Banners
  • Noisemakers
  • Airhorns

Will concessions be sold?

Yes, water and Gatorade.
 

What is the procedure for exiting the stadium?

At the end of the graduation ceremony, guests will remain seated until their section is dismissed and then immediately exit the stadium.
 

Can we gather outside of the stadium following the ceremony?

Congregation of groups after the ceremony is not allowed. Graduates and their families will continue their celebration, including taking photographs, at home.


Health/Safety Information

Is a health screening required to enter the stadium?

All employees, graduates, and guests will be questioned prior to entering the facility whether they have any of the signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19. Those found with any of the following signs or symptoms will be excluded from the activity:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Diarrhea
  • Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 if exposure to the active confirmed case occurred within the last 14 days
     

Are face coverings required?

All graduates and employees working the ceremonies will be provided with a mask. Graduates may remove their masks for the professional photo. Guests are encouraged to wear masks but are not required.
 

What sanitizing practices will be in place?

Hand sanitizing stations will be available at entrances and throughout the Berry Center and CFFCU Stadium. The stadium will be disinfected between ceremonies.


Diplomas and Programs

How will diplomas be distributed?

Principals will not be handing out diploma covers to students or shaking the graduate’s hand. Diploma covers will be placed on a table on the stage. When the graduate’s name is called, each student will pick up his or her diploma cover from the table. All diploma covers will be stacked on the table by staff members wearing masks and gloves.

 

Are the ceremonies available to watch live online?

Yes. For individuals who are unable or choose not to attend graduation, the ceremony will be broadcast on the district website at www.cfisd.net. This is a great alternative to in-person viewing. Access each school’s Livestream link by clicking the campus name below.
