Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is dedicated to the safety and welfare of all students, staff and visitors. Although we know that positive relationships with students is the most important security measure, campuses regularly hold a variety of drills and security assessments to better prepare students and staff in the event of an actual emergency. The district has made a number of facility enhancements such as additional video cameras, bullet-resistant glass, secured entrance vestibules and emergency calling stations. The implementation of student IDs and the Cy-Fair Tipline, as well as the enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct by our CFISD police department and campus staff, help ensure our CFISD students, staff and visitors are as safe as possible.
CFISD is my family and your safety is my number one priority.
In an effort to improve the safety measures currently in place, all high school and middle school students are to use clear backpacks beginning in the fall 2018. Elementary school students will be allowed to continue using traditional backpacks. More details about this new policy can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.
A clear bag policy will be enforced at both Cy-Fair FCU and Pridgeon Stadiums in CFISD for the 2018 football season. Clear backpacks, clear totes and clear storage bags will be allowed with no size restrictions. Non-transparent purses and bags will be limited to 6” x 9” x 5”. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
