Horne Elementary provides appropriately challenging learning experiences for all students. Emphasis is placed on developing problem-solving, critical, and creative thinking skills. Citizenship and self-responsibility are key objectives in the social / emotional development of our students. Parents, as partners in their child’s education, are vital for our continued success.

Horne Elementary was named for a veteran Cy-Fair teacher of 36 years, Magdalene Horne. Mrs. Horne gave our school a legacy of excellence and a dedication to the belief that children are our future.
The Horne Elementary PTO meets on a regular basis. The organization funds cultural arts activities and field trips, organizes volunteers, sponsors various student events, and conducts fund-raisers, which have provided technology, landscaping, books, and playground equipment.
