Cook Middle School, a "Recognized" school, is named in honor of Charles B. Cook, who was a Texas Ranger and a Cypress-Fairbanks ISD school board member at the time of his death. The badge, a symbol of the Texas Rangers and the school, is located at the entrance to Cook.
