April 21, 2025—Donald Lawrence, boys’ campus athletic director and head football coach at Clear Lake High School, has been named the Cypress Park High School campus athletic coordinator and head football coach. Lawrence replaces Greg Rogers, who is stepping down after leading the Tigers for seven seasons.
April 21, 2025—Brandy Breaux, assistant principal at Swenke Elementary School, was named the principal of Hamilton Elementary School on April 21.
April 16, 2025—More than 175 CFISD wrestlers were named to the Academic All-District 10-6A Wrestling Team.
April 16, 2025—More than 250 CFISD simmers and divers were named to the Academic All-District 17-6A and 18-6A swimming and diving teams.
April 16, 2025—More than 70 CFISD student athletic trainers were named to the Academic All-District 16-6A and District 17-6A teams for winter sports.
April 16, 2025—Thirteen CFISD high school students won national Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Honorable Mention awards in the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
April 16, 2025—Cy-Fair High School senior Sofia Luper and Langham Creek High School freshman Ian Maldonado were recently named to the 2024-2025 Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Class 6A Swim and Dive Super Elite Team.
April 15, 2025—More than 20 CFISD students competed in 11 different events at the Texas Forensic Association (TFA) State Tournament held March 6-8 at Katy Jordan High School.
April 15, 2025—Representatives from The Dental Office of Katy visited the staffs of Duryea Elementary School and Walker Elementary School on March 27 and April 11, respectively, to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with both campuses.
April 15, 2025—Students and teachers from the Bridgeland, Cypress Park, Cypress Ranch and Cypress Woods high school theatre departments are nominated in 11 categories in the Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) 21st Annual Tommy Tune Awards, to be held on June 6 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
