Board Election 2025
The next Trustee election will be held on November 4, 2025 in Harris County, Texas.
November 1, 2024
Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District will hold a General Election on November 4, 2025. Trustee Positions 5, 6, and 7 will be on the ballot to serve a four-year term. Eligibility requirements for public office are prescribed in Texas Election Code Section 141.001, Subchapter A (Election Code).
A notarized application for place on the ballot must be filed with the Director of General Administration’s office by mail, facsimile, email (scott.tucker@cfisd.net), or in person, during regular business hours, beginning Saturday, July 19, 2025, and ending at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025.
The General Administration Office will be available to receive applications in-person with a notary on site from 7:15a - 3:45p on the following dates:
- July 21–24
- July 28–August 1
- August 4–8
- August 11–15
- August 18 (extended hours: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Please note:
- Applications submitted electronically must be notarized prior to submission.
- All submissions must include a completed Form CTA (Campaign Treasurer Appointment) to be considered complete.
- Electronic applications may be submitted anytime on July 19 through 5:00pm August 18.
- Applications, form CTA, and other pertinent candidate documents will be available online at the 2025 CFISD Elections page for public access.

Candidate Orientation (CFISD MHAB Conference Center) The board candidate orientation is an opportunity for each candidate to meet with district officials and discuss the entire election process in CFISD. The objective of the orientation is to make sure all candidates understand what to expect throughout the process. |

Candidate Forum (Berry Center) The candidate forum is a formal question and answer session for all candidates. All candidates are available for a community meet and greet from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. and then from 7 - 9 p.m. candidates are seated at a table in front of a live audience and CFISD YouTube Channel. The forum begins with each candidate having the opportunity to introduce themselves and provide relevant information concerning their candidacy. This will be followed by the question/answer session. There will be some prepared questions as well as questions submitted by the audience. |
