See my website, TexasMessengers.com, for proof that what is happening in other states is happening right now in Cy-Fair ISD. I have been an agent of change for improving CFISD.

Considering your skills and talents, what positive contribution would you make as a member of the Board of Trustees?
I have managed financial risk and profit & loss reports for energy companies and my best talent is uncovering the nuance of data to shed light on problems and provide solutions. I work vigorously to resolve issues and I have transferred those skills to education. I was publicly credited by a Texas legislator for uncovering data mining on school issued Chromebooks that contributed to the passage of HB 18 regarding internet safety.
What are the responsibilities of the Board of Trustees?
(1) hire, have a relationship with, and oversee and evaluate the superintendent, (2) adopt a mission and vision for the district, (3) set district and board policy, (4) approve budget, (5) communicate with the community, (6) be a public face, (7) be ready to handle emergencies.
What role do positive trustee relations on the Board play in affecting student success?
The Board of Trustees should lead by example and prioritize a positive work relationship/environment. Positive relations have an important role because the board sets the vision and culture for Cy-Fair ISD. The vision is student success and the culture should match the promises of the vision so everyone feels satisfied.
What critical challenges face the district, and what are possible solutions to address those issues?
