Why did you choose to live in CFISD?
My wife and I chose to live in CFISD because, as students at PVAMU, we watched the district grow and its commitment to excellence. We also found it to align with the small-town family values from which we grew up. As an educator, I participated in academic and social activities in the school district before having children. Our interaction with teachers, residents, and community leaders made this our HOME to raise a family.

What are the responsibilities of the Board of Trustees?
As stated by the Texas Association of School Boards, the responsibilities of a trustee are to ensure accountability, fiscal stability, and shared visions and goals are adopted to maintain student achievement and the district's growth. In addition, to be a community liaison, a person willing to listen to the community's needs about education.
What role do positive trustee relations on the Board play in affecting student success?
The vision of positive trustee relations on the Board affects student success by providing an image of collaboration, communication, and community support. Each of these life skills we want students to process, they need to effectively work with individuals from different backgrounds through communication and collaboration.
What critical challenges face the district, and what are possible solutions to address those issues?
Critical challenges that face the district are (1) Superintendent selection, (2) Teacher Salary and Support, and (3) Opportunity for All. The board and community need to select a superintendent with experience in working with a growing diverse community and student body to develop global learners. I will work to increase the salary of teachers and support staff to offset the rise in inflation and health care.
