Lesley Guilmart has served on the Board of Trustees since November 2025, when she was elected to her first term. A 16-year resident of CFISD, Ms. Guilmart lives in Cole’s Crossing with her husband, Martin Skoda, and two children, both current CFISD students. 

Ms. Guilmart is a transformation specialist for the US PREP National Center. She and her husband, both educators, chose to buy their first home in CFISD because of the great public schools.

Ms. Guilmart volunteers as a Bus Buddy at Wilson Elementary School, and her nonprofit organization, Cypress Families for Public Schools, adopted Wilson in 2023, where they provide meals for staff and raise funds for school supplies. She has previously volunteered at the Berry Center Point of Distribution after Hurricane Harvey, and taught Junior Achievement lessons while chaperoning a Biz Town trip for elementary school students.

She has previously served on the Community Leadership Committee (2022-2024), Sampson Elementary School PTO and Cy-Fair AFT. 

As a former CFISD educator, mother of two CFISD students and proud wife of a CFISD teacher, Ms. Guilmart is committed to the future of CIFSD schools and education of its children. She is the daughter of a nurse and a teacher, both first-generation college graduates who inspired her to enter the teaching profession after earning her degree.
