Exhibit Center
CFISD bond funds helped renovate the CFISD Exhibit Center at 11206 Telge Road. Designed by VLK Architects and constructed by ICI Construction, the project is wrapped up December 2021. The scope of this renovation includes an addition to the existing Exhibit Center and expansion of seating in the arena, as well as a meeting room and office addition.
Mike & Darlene Jarrar Arena
'Board approves namesakes for CFISD Exhibit Center Arena'
Mike and Darlene Jarrar are native Houstonians and supporters of public education. Mrs. Jarrar graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1978. All four of their children attended Cypress-Fairbanks ISD schools.
Mr. Jarrar founded his plumbing company in 1978. He remains the president and CEO of Jarrar & Company, Inc., a Houston-based commercial plumbing company. Mrs. Jarrar has helped grow their business for 40 years. The business that they have collectively built involves new construction, renovation, and remodeling in the Houston area. Jarrar & Company's business model is based upon the concept of all-around excellence.
The Jarrars have supported the CFISD Livestock Show & Sale since 2003, donating a total of $1,440,606 to student projects. They have received the Livestock Show Association Top Volume Buyer award—given to the buyer who made the largest contribution at the show—for 14 of the 16 years it has been given. At the 2022 show, the Jarrars contributed $76,890, accounting for more than 10% of the total sales.
