
Unofficial results from the Nov. 4 Board of Trustees Election indicate that, from left, Lesley Guilmart, Cleveland Lane Jr. and Kendra Camarena were elected to Positions 5, 6 and 7, respectively.
Nov. 5, 2025—With all 600 voting centers reporting from the Nov. 4 election for three seats on the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District Board of Trustees, unofficial results indicate that Lesley Guilmart was elected to Position 5, Cleveland Lane Jr. was elected to Position 6 and Kendra Camarena was elected to Position 7.
For the Position 5 seat, Guilmart received 31,576 votes (50.89%) over opponents Radele Walker, who drew 20,922 votes (33.72%), and Terrance Edmond, who drew 9,554 votes (15.4%). Guilmart will begin her first term of service to the district.
For the Position 6 seat, Lane received 28,082 votes (44.79%) over opponents Natalie Blasingame, who drew 21,470 votes (34.25%) and Scott Henry, who drew 13,141 votes (20.96%). Lane will begin his first term of service to the district.
For the Position 7 seat, Camarena received 30,446 votes (49.01%) over opponents George Edwards Jr., who drew 23,655 votes (38.08%) and Elecia Jones, who drew 8,019 votes (12.91%). Camarena will begin her first term of service to the district.
Overall, the election drew 62,052 votes for Position 5, 62,693 votes for Position 6 and 62,120 votes for Position 7. Early voting accounted for 54.5%, 54.5% and 54.6% of the ballots cast in each of the three respective races. Of the 381,986 registered voters within CFISD, 18.36% cast ballots in the election.
Official results from Tuesday’s election will be canvassed and announced during a special-called Board of Trustees meeting on Nov. 17. The elected candidates to Positions 5, 6 and 7 will be sworn in during the Dec. 11 work session to serve four-year terms.
