Six CFISD softball teams earn bi-district postseason victories

The Bridgeland High School softball team defeated Klein in a best-of-three series to become bi-district champions.
The Bridgeland High School softball team defeated Klein in a best-of-three series to become bi-district champions. The Bears advance to play Conroe Oak Ridge in a best-of-three series beginning May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Klein Cain High School. 

May 5, 2022—Six CFISD softball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round this week.  

Bridgeland High School defeated Klein in a best-of-three series by the scores of 12-2 and 10-0. The Bears advance to face Conroe Oak Ridge in a best-of-three series at Klein Cain High School (10201 Spring Cypress Road):

  • Game 1 – May 6 at 6:30 p.m.;
  • Game 2 – May 7 at 5:30 p.m.; and
  • Game 3, if necessary – 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.

The Cypress Woods High School softball team defeated Klein Cain, 12-0, to become bi-district champions.
The Cypress Woods High School softball team defeated Klein Cain, 12-0, to become bi-district champions. The Wildcats advance to face Conroe Grand Oaks in a best-of-three series beginning May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Cypress Woods High School. 

Cypress Woods High School defeated Klein Cain, 12-0, on April 28 at Cypress Creek High School. The Wildcats advance to meet Conroe Grand Oaks in a best-of-three series:

  • Game 1 – May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Cypress Woods High School (13550 Woods-Spillane Blvd.);
  • Game 2 – May 7 at noon at Conroe Grand Oaks High School (4800 Riley Fuzzel Road); and
  • Game 3, if necessary – May 7 at 2 p.m. at Conroe Grand Oaks High School.

The Langham Creek High School softball team defeated Tomball Memorial in a best-of-three series to become bi-district champs.
The Langham Creek High School softball team defeated Tomball Memorial in a best-of-three series to become bi-district champions. The Lobos advance to meet The Woodlands in a best-of-three series beginning May 6 at 4:30 p.m. at Cypress Creek High School. 

Langham Creek High School defeated Tomball Memorial in a best-of-three series by the scores of 1-2, 6-5 and 13-7. The Lobos advance to play The Woodlands in a best-of-three series:

  • Game 1 – May 6 at 4:30 p.m. at Cypress Creek High School (9815 Grant Road);
  • Game 2 – May 7 at noon at Magnolia High School (14350 FM 1488); and
  • Game 3, if necessary – May 7 at 2 p.m. at Magnolia High School.

Cypress Ranch High School defeated Klein Collins in a best-of-three series by the scores of 2-1 and 5-2. The Mustangs advance to face Willis in a best-of-three series:

  • Game 1 – May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Willis High School (10005 TX-75);
  • Game 2 – May 7 at noon at Cypress Ranch High School (10700 Fry Road); and
  • Game 3, if necessary – May 7 at 2 p.m. at Cypress Ranch High School.

The Jersey Village High School softball team defeated Houston Chavez in a best-of-three series to become bi-district champs.
The Jersey Village High School softball team defeated Houston Chavez in a best-of-three series to become bi-district champions. The Falcons advance to face Katy Seven Lakes in a best-of-three series beginning May 6 at 7 p.m. at Jersey Village High School. 

Jersey Village High School defeated Houston Chavez in a best-of-three series by the scores of 7-0 and 11-0. The Falcons advance to play Katy Seven Lakes in a best-of-three series:

  • Game 1 – May 6 at 7 p.m. at Jersey Village High School (7600 Solomon St.);
  • Game 2 – May 7 at noon at Katy Seven Lakes High School (9251 Fry Road); and
  • Game 3, if necessary – May 7 at 2 p.m. at Katy Seven Lakes High School.

The Cy-Fair High School softball team defeated Houston Lamar, 14-1, to become bi-district champions.

Cy-Fair High School defeated Houston Lamar, 14-1, on April 29 at Mayde Creek High School. The Bobcats advance to meet Katy in a best-of-three series at Cypress Lakes High School (5750 Greenhouse Road):

  • Game 1 – May 7 at 2 p.m.;
  • Game 2 – May 7 at 4 p.m.;
  • Game 3, if necessary – May 9 at 6 p.m.

All tickets will be sold at the gate for $5 apiece (adults and students).
