Langham Creek High School wide receiver Jaquaize Pettaway was among 38 Houston-area standouts named to the Touchdown Club of Houston 2022 UIL High School Preseason Football Team. Honorees will be recognized during a ceremony on Aug. 17 at the Bayou City Event Center.

July 25, 2022—Jersey Village High School offensive lineman Reagan Gill, Bridgeland High School tight end Reid Mikeska, Langham Creek High School wide receiver Jaquaize Pettaway, Cypress Woods High School defensive lineman Terrance Green, Cypress Ranch High School defensive lineman Ashton Porter and linebacker Christian Brathwaite were among the standout football players named to and honored as a part of the Touchdown Club of Houston 2022 UIL High School Preseason Football Team. The honorees will be recognized on Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Bayou City Event Center (9401 Knight Road).

The five seniors were among 38 football players selected to the preseason team, which the Touchdown Club constructs through film study, recommendations, recruiting rankings and preseason publications.

Jersey Village High School offensive lineman Reagan Gill was named to the UIL High School Preseason Football Team. Since 2013, CFISD has had 36 players honored, including five last year and six in 2022.

Each player honored by the Touchdown Club will be presented with a plaque commemorating the distinction.

Since 2013, 36 CFISD players have been named to the preseason team, which included the district having multiple selections from 2014-2017. CFISD had seven standouts selected in 2016, three honorees in 2019 and 2020 and five selections last year.
