Two CFISD soccer teams earn area postseason victories

The Bridgeland girls’ soccer team defeated Conroe Grand Oaks, 1-0, in the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs.
The Bridgeland High School girls’ soccer team defeated Conroe Grand Oaks, 1-0, in the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs. The Bears advance to the region quarterfinals to play Tomball at 7 p.m. on March 31 at Tomball ISD Stadium.

March 31, 2023—The Bridgeland High School girls’ and the Cypress Woods High School boys’ soccer teams won their respective Region II-6A area playoff matches to advance to the region quarterfinal round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs.   

Region II-6A girls’ soccer results were as follows:

Bridgeland defeated Conroe Grand Oaks, 1-0. The Bears advance to the region quarterfinals to play Tomball at 7 p.m. on March 31 at Tomball ISD Stadium (20235 Cypress Rosehill Road).

Region II-6A boys’ soccer results were as follows:

Cypress Woods defeated Conroe Grand Oaks, 2-1. The Wildcats advance to the region quarterfinals to face Tomball at 7:30 p.m. on March 31 at Waller High School (31213 Waller Spring Creek Road).

Cypress Lakes High School ended its season with a 2-1 loss to The Woodlands. The Spartans were District 16-6A’s second seed and area finalists.

Cypress Springs High School ended its season with a 4-0 loss to Aldine MacArthur. The Panthers were District 16-6A’s third seed and area finalists.

The Cy Woods boys’ soccer team defeated Conroe Grand Oaks, 2-1, in the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs.

Region III-6A girls’ soccer results were as follows:

Cy-Fair High School ended its season with a 4-0 loss to Fort Bend Ridge Point. The Bobcats were District 17-6A’s second seed and area finalists.

Region III-6A boys’ soccer results were as follows:

Cypress Ridge High School ended its season with a 3-2 loss to Katy Jordan. The Rams were the District 17-6A champions and area finalists.
