Aug. 17, 2023—Cy-Fair High School quarterback Trey Owens and Langham Creek High School tight end Jordan Washington were among the standout football players named to and honored as a part of the Touchdown Club of Houston 2023 UIL High School Preseason Football Team. The honorees were recognized on Aug. 16 at the Bayou City Event Center (9401 Knight Road).

The two seniors were among 35 football players selected to the preseason team, which the Touchdown Club constructs through film study, recommendations, recruiting rankings and preseason publications.

Each player honored by the Touchdown Club was presented with a plaque commemorating the distinction.

Since 2013, 38 CFISD players have been named to the preseason team, which included the district having multiple selections from 2014-2017. CFISD had seven standouts selected in 2016, six honorees in 2022, five selections in 2021 and three honorees in 2019 and 2020.
