CFISD Student of the Week: Aramae Badillo

Kahla Middle School eighth grade student Aramae Badillo is credited with excelling inside and outside of the classroom.

Sep. 20, 2021—Kahla Middle School eighth grade student Aramae Badillo is credited with excelling inside and outside of the classroom, as she has been a member of the distinguished honor roll for two years and on volleyball’s A team as the libero during the same time frame.

Age: 13

Grade: 8

Accomplishments: Badillo is the libero on the Knights’ A team the last years. At the same time, she is an excellent student who has been named to the distinguished honor roll the past two years.

Favorite class: “My favorite class is English because I enjoy writing and reading.”

Favorite things to do after class: “I enjoy sleeping, reading, painting and drawing.”

­Favorite Song:Strange by Celeste.”

Favorite Website/App: “I like Pinterest. I am crafty and I like to get ideas from others on Pinterest.”

Favorite TV Show: “My favorite TV show is Friends. I enjoy dry humor and it makes me laugh.”

Favorite movie:Avatar is my favorite. When I was younger, I had appendicitis and had to have surgery. I watched it while I was in the hospital and it made me feel better. Now, it’s my favorite movie.”

Ambition: “I dream of being a National Geographic journalist and photographer because I have always love nature and would like to travel the world to discover new things.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Clothing, because I like to use fashion to express who I am.”

­What inspires you?: “My mom inspires me. She never got to go to college but that didn’t stop her. She taught me to keep on chasing my dreams even there are obstacles in my way.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “My family, sports and reading.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I am looking forward to passing all my classes this semester. I like to set the bar high for myself so that my younger sister has an example to follow.”
