Bridgeland football team advances to Class 6A regional semifinals
Bridgeland High School senior quarterback Conner Wiegman and the Bears defeated The Woodlands College Park, 35-28, in the area around. The Bears advance to face Cedar Hill in a Division II Region II-6A regional semifinal game on Nov. 27 at Waco ISD Stadium.
Nov. 22, 2021—The Bridgeland High School football team won its area round postseason game and advanced to the regional semifinal round.
In the Class 6A Division II playoff bracket, Bridgeland defeated The Woodlands College Park, 35-28, on Nov. 19 at Conroe ISD’s Woodforest Bank Stadium. The Bears advance to the Region II semifinal round where they will face Cedar Hill on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. at Waco ISD Stadium (1401 S. New Road). Bridgeland is designated as the home team.
Tickets for the playoff game will be sold online through Waco ISD and will be $8 (adults) and $6 (students) apiece. Presale tickets are available for purchase until noon on Friday, Nov. 26. Tickets at the gate will be sold for $10 apiece. Parking at Waco ISD Stadium will be $5 per vehicle (cash only).
In the Class 6A Division I bracket, Cy-Fair and Jersey Village high schools ended their seasons in the area round.
The Jersey Village Falcons were defeated by Katy Tompkins, 42-14, on Nov. 19. They were District 17-6A champions and ended their season as area finalists.
The Cy-Fair Bobcats were defeated by Fort Bend Ridge Point, 41-20, on Nov. 19. They were 17-6A’s third seed and ended their season as area finalists.
