Cypress Springs High School senior Ava Garibay was among more than 140 CFISD softball players named to the Academic All-District 16-6A and District 17-6A softball teams.
July 5, 2022—More than 140 CFISD softball players were named to the Academic All-District 16-6A and District 17-6A softball teams.
Cypress Ranch High School senior Molly Yoo qualified for the Academic All-District 16-6A Softball Team.
Athletes who earned academic all-district honors finished the season in good academic standing and earned a composite weighted GPA of 5.5 or higher for all classes for the two identified six weeks that make up the majority of their regular season.
Cy-Fair High School sophomore Presley Noone was named to the Academic All-District 17-6A Softball Team.
“While not only having successful softball seasons, our District 16-6A and District 17-6A softball players were also competitors in the classroom,” said Virginia Flores, associate athletic director. “A total of 142 CFISD varsity softball players were awarded the distinction of academic all-district. These young ladies are the consummate student-athletes, making academic excellence a priority. We are extremely proud of the hard work these athletes put forth daily in their quest to be the best on and off the field!”
Jersey Village High School sophomore Atiana Ramirez qualified for the Academic All-District 17-6A Softball Team.
