In 2009, McCollister moved to Adam, where she served two years as a teacher before becoming a counselor. She accepted her current assistant principal position at A. Robison Elementary School in 2018.

She participated in both the Teacher Leadership Academy in 2011 and inaugural Counselor Leadership Academy three years later. She also has served as the summer school principal at Millsap Elementary School in 2022.

McCollister earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University and Master of Education in School Counseling from Sam Houston State University.

“I’m honored and humbled to have been chosen as the next principal at Adam Elementary School,” McCollister said. “I look forward to serving the staff, students, parents and community as I return to Adam. I’m eager to build relationships and work together to continue the strong traditions that the Adam family has established.”
