CFISD Student of the Week: Kelly Dinh

Cypress Ridge High School senior Kelly Dinh has been on the Dazzlers dance team for the past three years.

Dec. 12, 2022—Cypress Ridge High School senior Kelly Dinh has been on the Dazzlers dance team for the past three years, serving as colonel this school year after being named Most Outstanding Sophomore and Most Outstanding Junior.

Grade: 12

Accomplishments: Dinh is very active on campus, participating with the Dazzlers dance team for three years in addition to being in the Health Science program where she’s working toward a Pharmacy Technician certification.

Favorite class: “My favorite class is Health Science Practicum because I get to work toward earning a certification alongside my friends.”

Favorite things to do after class: “I enjoy watching videos on YouTube, talking to my friends and taking a good nap.”

Favorite song: It Will Rain by Bruno Mars is my favorite.”

Favorite website/app: “My favorite app is BeReal because it is fun getting to see what my friends and family are doing throughout the day.”

Favorite TV show: Kickin’ It because it never fails to make me laugh and it has very memorable episodes.”

Favorite movie: “I love the Rush Hour trilogy because it is pure comedy and I could watch the movies over and over again.”

Ambition: “I hope to become a better leader for my team and also to get accepted into some great colleges.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about dance, health science and trying new restaurants.”

What inspires you?: “Seeing my directors, friends and family persevere and reach their goals even when obstacles get in the way. It is inspiring to see them rise up to the challenge with so much determination.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “I could not live without my loves ones, music and my phone.”
