CFISD Student of the Week: Jordan Whittington
Dec. 13, 2021—Keith Elementary School fifth grade student Jordan Whittington is praised by his teachers for being a tremendous Keith Cougar inside and outside of the classroom.

Age: 11
Grade: 5
Accomplishments: Along with earning A/B honor roll, Whittington recently organized a cornhole tournament that received more than 55 bikes and monetary donations that were given to Cy-Hope to help children in the community for the holidays. In addition to helping his local community, Whittington is celebrated by his teachers for being kind, encouraging and a model student.
Favorite class: “Science, because I like to do hands-on labs and experiments.”
Favorite things to do after class: “All sports, including golf, cornhole and baseball. I also like to play outside and stay active.”
Favorite song: “I like country music. Right now I really like Morgan Wallen.”
Favorite website/app: “I like shopping on Shoe Palace to look for new Air Jordans.”
Favorite TV show: “Anything on ESPN, especially the Not Top 10.”
Favorite movie: “Rookie of the Year, because I like all sports.”
Ambition: “I would like to continue my love for sports by playing basketball in middle school, making the fishing and golf teams in high school, attend Texas A&M University, play golf professionally and own my own business one day.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about sports. I am very active. I like having large group instruction first thing in the morning, it helps me gain focus for the day.”
What inspires you?: “Professional sports players who work hard at their craft. For example, Rickie Fowler on the PGA Tour.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “Sports, bikes and shoes.”
