Boys’ basketball teams advance to area playoffs

The Cy-Fair High School boys’ basketball team defeated Houston Heights in the bi-district playoffs to advance to the area round, where the Bobcats will meet Katy Jordan on Feb. 23 at the Berry Center. 

Feb. 21, 2024—Four CFISD boys’ basketball teams won their bi-district playoff matchups and will advance to the area round on Feb. 23.

In Region II-6A competition:

  • Langham Creek High School defeated Klein Cain, 61-43, on Feb. 20 at Klein High School. The Lobos advance to face College Park on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at The Woodlands High School (6101 Research Forest Dr.). Tickets are sold through Conroe ISD for $3 (students) and $5 (adults); and
  • Cypress Ranch High School beat Tomball Memorial, 65-64, on Feb. 20 at Cypress Park High School. The Mustangs advance to face Westfield on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at Klein Cain High School (10201 Spring Cypress Road). Tickets are sold through Klein ISD for $5 apiece.

In Region III-6A competition:

  • Cy-Fair defeated Houston Heights, 67-36, on Feb. 20 at Delmar Fieldhouse. The Bobcats advance to meet Katy Jordan on Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road). Tickets are $5 apiece; and
  • Cypress Creek High School beat Lamar, 59-46, on Feb. 20 at Delmar Fieldhouse. The Cougars advance to face Katy Seven Lakes on Feb. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Coleman Coliseum (1050 Dairy Ashford Road). Tickets are sold through Spring Branch ISD for $5 apiece.

Jersey Village High School was eliminated by Bellaire, 65-42, on Feb. 20 at Delmar Fieldhouse. The Falcons end the season as Region III-6A bi-district finalists.

Cypress Falls High School was eliminated by Tomball, 52-48, on Feb. 20 at Klein Collins High School. The Golden Eagles end the season as Region II-6A bi-district finalists.

Cypress Springs High School was eliminated by Klein Oak, 57-53, on Feb. 19 at Cypress Woods High School. The Panthers end the season as Region II-6A bi-district finalists.
