Cypress Creek High School senior Erik Morales (No. 8) was voted District 17-6A Most Valuable Player.
May 19, 2022—CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer coaches released the All-District 17-6A teams following the conclusion of each team’s season.
On the boys’ side, Cypress Creek High School earned three honors, which included senior Erik Morales being named Most Valuable Player. Fellow senior Aaron Dunn shared Goalkeeper of the Year honors with Jersey Village High School senior Juan Reyes. Jersey Village also earned three honors, including junior Alonso Barron being named Offensive Player of the Year and senior Jose Bejarano earning Defensive Player of the Year. Cy-Fair High School freshman Holden Calder was voted Newcomer of the Year. Cypress Creek Head Coach Josh O’Dear was named Coach of the Year.
On the girls’ side, Cy-Fair High School earned two honors with senior Ava Drouin voted Offensive Player of the Year and senior Abigail Medlin named Goalkeeper of the Year. Jersey Village freshman Avery Everson was named Newcomer of the Year.
