District 17-6A girls’ water polo athletes earn 2022 league honors
Cypress Creek High School senior Sydney Gilpin was voted the District 17-6A girls’ water polo Goalkeeper of the Year. She helped lead the Cougars to the inaugural district championship and sweep the three league superlatives. Fellow senior Chloe Hensley was named the Most Valuable Player and Head Coach Jeff Chandler was named Coach of the Year.
Nov. 4, 2022—District 17-6A girls’ water polo coaches recently released the 2022 All-District 17-6A Girls’ Water Polo Team, following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
Cypress Creek High School, which captured the inaugural district title, swept all three league superlatives. Senior Chloe Hensley was named the Most Valuable Player and fellow senior Sydney Gilpin was voted the league’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
Cougars Head Coach Jeff Chandler was named Coach of the Year.
Cy-Fair High School senior Caroline Armstrong earned first-team honors on the District 17-6A girls’ water polo team.
