Cy-Fair High School junior quarterback Trey Owens was voted the District 17-6A Offensive MVP.
Dec. 2, 2022—District 17-6A football coaches released the All-District Team following the conclusion of each team’s postseason.
District champion Cy-Fair High School earned four district superlatives. Junior quarterback Trey Owens was voted Offensive MVP, senior defensive lineman Ethan Anderson was named Defensive MVP and junior wide receiver Connor Porter was voted Offensive Newcomer of the Year.
Cy-Fair High School senior defensive lineman Ethan Anderson was voted the District 17-6A Defensive MVP.
Cy-Fair High School junior Connor Porter was voted the District 17-6A Offensive Newcomer of the Year.
Cy-Fair Head Coach Jeff Miller was named Coach of the Year after leading the Bobcats to the league championship.
Stratford High School sophomore Cullen Devine was named Defensive Newcomer of the Year.
“Congratulations to the many CFISD football players that made the All-District 17-6A team,” said Ray Zepeda, CFISD director of athletics. “This was a very competitive district that saw multiple teams advance out of the bi-district round of the playoffs. It is a very big honor for any athlete to make this team given the level of play in the district this season.”
