Cypress Woods High School senior Ben Scholl won two individual state titles in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle races at the UIL Swimming and Diving Class 6A State Meet, held Feb. 17-18 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin.
March 2, 2023—Three CFISD swimmers placed in the top three, and 16 others placed in the top 15 at the UIL Swimming and Diving Class 6A State Meet, held Feb. 17-18 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin.
Bridgeland High School senior Emma Kinsey placed third overall in the 100-yard butterfly at the UIL Swimming and Diving Class 6A State Meet, held Feb. 17-18 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin.
Cypress Woods High School senior Ben Scholl led CFISD swimmers by earning two individual state titles in the 50-yard freestyle (19.94) and the 100-yard freestyle (43.42). The 2023 state championships marked the second time Scholl won first place in the 50-yard freestyle, winning in 2022 with a time of 19.95.
Cy-Fair High School sophomore Sofia Luper placed third overall in the 100-yard freestyle at the UIL Swimming and Diving Class 6A State Meet, held Feb. 17-18 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin.
Cy-Fair High School sophomore Sofia Luper placed third in the 100-yard freestyle (50.54) and Bridgeland High School senior Emma Kinsey placed third in the 100-yard butterfly (54.44).
The Cy-Fair High School girls’ team and the Cypress Woods High School boys’ team both placed seventh overall, respectively. Both teams were the Region V-6A team champions.
