April 23, 2024—Nearly 70 CFISD athletes signed letters of intent to play collegiate athletics for colleges and universities on Late Spring National Signing Day, April 17.

Seven CFISD soccer teams earn bi-district postseason victories
March 28, 2024—Seven CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer teams won their respective Region II-6A and Region III-6A bi-district playoff matches March 25-26 to advance to the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs.

Bridgeland, Cy Ridge robotics teams qualify for VEX World Championship
March 27, 2024—Bridgeland High School Robotics Team 77786B and Cypress Ridge High School Robotics Team 16329C have both qualified for the 2024 VEX Robotics World Championship, set for April 25-27 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. Bridgeland and Cypress Ridge are the first two teams from CFISD to qualify for the World Championship competition.

Soccer postseason begins for 11 CFISD teams
March 22, 2024—The District 16-6A and District 17-6A soccer seasons concluded March 20, with the top four boys’ and girls’ team from each side qualifying for the UIL playoffs that begin March 25.

March 14, 2024—The CFISD human resources department invites prospective employees interested in becoming a part of an exciting future with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD to attend the districtwide Career Fair, set for April 17 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 3:45 p.m.) at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Livestock Show and Sale generates more than $680,000 for projects
Feb. 21, 2024—The 30th Annual CFISD Livestock Show Association Show and Sale, held Jan. 31-Feb.3 at the CFISD Exhibit Center, saw an incredible amount of generosity from the CFISD community through the live auction, with no exhibits in the last third of the sale selling for less than $1,000.

Feb. 5, 2024—Six years after Cypress-Fairbanks ISD high school athletic teams were split into separate districts for the first time in history, CFISD’s two leagues saw slight changes as a result of the University Interscholastic League’s biennial Reclassification and Realignment on Feb. 1.

Jan. 31, 2024—CFISD has earned the Texas Thespians Premiere Communities for Theatre Education Award. The award recognizes and honors school districts that provide theatre programs with resources to achieve above standard ratings, as rooted in the Educational Theatre Association’s Opportunity to Learn Standards, Texas Theatre Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Fine Arts and support of International Thespian Society Troupe involvement.
