CFISD students recognized in Superintendent Holiday Card Contest

Nov. 17, 2023—Students from Sampson Elementary School, Sprague Middle School and Cypress Springs High School earned “Best in Show” in the annual Superintendent Holiday Card Contest, selected from 262 entries across all grade levels.

Volleyball playoffs continue for six CFISD teams in area round

Nov. 2, 2023—The Bridgeland, Cypress Ranch, Langham Creek, Cy-Fair, Cypress Ridge and Jersey Village high school volleyball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round.

Twelve CFISD marching bands advance to area competition

Oct. 18, 2023—All 12 CFISD high school marching bands advanced to the UIL Area I Marching Band Contest after earning all superior ratings at the UIL Region 27 Marching Contest on Oct. 14 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.

CFISD high schools recognized in U.S. News & World Report rankings

Sept. 6, 2023—Bridgeland, Cypress Woods and Cypress Ranch high schools ranked among the top 1,400 U.S. high schools in the country, while Cy-Fair, Langham Creek and Cypress Creek high schools gave Cypress-Fairbanks ISD six schools among the top 3,400 nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of America’s Best High Schools.

High School AFJROTC units earn 2022-2023 organization awards

July 31, 2023—The Air Force JROTC units from Cypress Springs (TX-20016), Cypress Ridge (TX-20028), Cy-Fair (TX-20057), Langham Creek (TX-20061) and Cypress Creek (TX-20102) high schools were among units across the United States to receive the 2022-2023 Distinguished Unit Award, as announced by the AFJROTC Headquarters.
