CFISD Student of the Week: Eleanor Lupher

March 18, 2024—Salyards Middle School eighth grade student Eleanor Lupher is applauded by her teachers for being an excellent student.

Age: 14

Grade: 8

Accomplishments: Lupher is an honor roll student is also a Bengal Pride award nominee. She also received all “1s” on her ensemble piece as a member of the Salyards Symphonic Band.

Favorite class: “Principals of Human Services, because it is fun and teaches me things that I can do in the real world. Band is a close second!”

Favorite things to do after class: “Practice for band, participate in National Charity League (NCL) and Awanas and hang out with my family.”

Favorite TV show: The Summer I Turned Pretty, because it gives off a lot of emotions and is great to watch.”

Favorite movie: “Too many to list because I love watching movies!”

Ambition: “I would love to become an audiologist because I can help other kids like me and show them that they are not the only people in the world that are hearing impaired.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “NCL has helped me realize that people need more help than we do. I love to volunteer at the food bank and see the appreciation on faces of those receiving the food.”

What inspires you?: “Friends and family inspire me to work at achieving my goals.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “My cellphone, my hearing aids and York Peppermint Patties.”
