Lee ES, The River Flows Foundation establish Adopt-a-School partnership

May 5, 2023—Representatives from The River Flows Foundation visited staff at Lee Elementary School on April 28 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.

CFISD names incoming principal for Lee Elementary School

May 4, 2023—Lauree Johnson, assistant principal at Birkes Elementary School, was named the new principal at Lee Elementary School on May 4. Johnson replaces Susan Epperson, who will retire in June.

CFISD Destination Imagination teams qualify for 2023 Global Finals

May 4, 2023—Six CFISD Destination Imagination teams placed in the top five at the Lone Star Finals, held at the University of Texas-Arlington March 24-25, in order to qualify for the DI Global Finals.

Annual Superintendent’s Fun Run raises record $210,000

April 10, 2023—Approximately 8,000 CFISD staff, students, community members and business partners gathered at the Berry Center and Cy-Fair FCU Stadium for the 10th annual Superintendent’s Fun Run on April 1. The fundraiser concluded with CFISD and Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital representatives presenting a check worth a record $210,000 to the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF).
