Anthony, Hamilton, Sprague win 2023 middle school volleyball championships

Nov. 21, 2023—The CFISD athletic department concluded its 2023 middle school volleyball season by crowning four outright district champions. The season featured new zone alignments for the 20 middle schools and a new playoff structure featuring tournaments to determine the four winning teams.

Rowe, Salyards, Spillane win 2023 middle school football championships

CFISD students recognized in Superintendent Holiday Card Contest

Nov. 17, 2023—Students from Sampson Elementary School, Sprague Middle School and Cypress Springs High School earned “Best in Show” in the annual Superintendent Holiday Card Contest, selected from 262 entries across all grade levels.

CFISD students to perform in HRB’s production of The Nutcracker

Nov. 13, 2023—Sixteen CFISD students have been cast in the Houston Repertoire Ballet’s 25th annual performance of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, featuring professional guest artists Nikisha Fogo as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Aaron Robison as the Cavalier, with the new HRB company orchestra directed by Tarana Taylor.
