AT-HOME PHONICS CARDS

  • Dear Moore parents/guardians,

These phonics cards will help your reader gain a better understanding of how letters make unique sounds that can work together to form words. Please print them front/back to create flash cards.

Each card should be practiced in the following pattern (letter, word, sound).

    EXAMPLE:

    “B, bat, /b/”

    “D, dog, /d/”

    “F, fish, /f/”

For more information or if you have questions, please contact your child’s reading teacher or Mrs. Willard, our English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) Instructional Specialist, at katrina.willard@cfisd.net.

By being proficient in these phonemes, your child will be able to piece together sounds to decode longer or unknown words. We hope you enjoy this time growing together as readers!
