CFISD soccer players earn 2024 All-District 16-6A honors

April 16, 2024—CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer coaches released the All-District 16-6A teams following the conclusion of each team’s season.

On the girls’ side, Cypress Ranch High School senior Hannah Carrier was named Most Valuable Player. Bridgeland High School junior Madeline Benker was named Offensive Player of the Year and fellow Bridgeland sophomore Brooke Martin was named Defensive Player of the Year. Bridgeland sophomore Sydney Robinett was named Goalkeeper of the Year. Cypress Woods High School senior Amanda Easley was named Midfielder of the Year and Cypress Lakes High School freshman Olivia Montoya was named Newcomer of the Year. Cypress Lakes Head Coach Casey Baldes was named Coach of the Year.

On the boys’ side, Cypress Springs High School senior Sebastian Alvarez was named Most Valuable Player. Fellow Cypress Springs teammates junior Christopher Cruz and senior Kei Matsuyama were named Offensive Player of the Year and Midfielder of the Year, respectively. Bridgeland junior Nico Ramos was named Defensive Player of the Year and Cypress Falls High School senior Bryan Mondragon was named Goalkeeper of the Year. Cypress Lakes freshman Ruben Andrade was named Newcomer of the Year. Cypress Falls Head Coach Kevin Napier was named Coach of the Year.
