CFISD names new principal for Dean Middle School

April 26, 2024Michael George, assistant principal at Cypress Creek High School, was named the new principal at Dean Middle School on April 26. George replaces Hoang Pham, who will retire in June.

George is completing his 15th year in education. His career began as a social studies teacher in Spring ISD. He was also a teacher in Magnolia ISD before coming to CFISD in 2015 as a U.S. History teacher and football coach at Salyards Middle School. George was promoted to assistant principal at Cypress Creek High School in 2018.

George earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Adolescent/Young Adult Education from Baldwin-Wallace College and his Master of Education from Lamar University.

“I am extremely honored and humbled to have been chosen to serve the students, staff and community of Dean Middle School,” George said. “I am looking forward to leading with compassion, commitment and courage! I am beyond grateful to the various mentors and leaders that have invested in me along my journey. I can’t wait to build relationships with our students and support them in making a generational impact in the world!”
