Year Opened: 1979

Moore Elementary was named for educators Les and Bettie Moore, who dedicated a combined total of 44 years of service to Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Mr. Moore was the first full-time guidance counselor for Cy-Fair High School and the first director of guidance for the District.  Mr. Moore is remembered for his leadership in the local teachers' organization, for his many years of announcing home football games, and for acquiring state accreditation for the District.  Mrs. Moore began her teaching career with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD at Bane Elementary School, where she was selected "Teacher of the Year" in 1973.  They retired in 1977.
