Student artwork selected for TAEA Youth Art Month Exhibit

Langham Creek High School junior Asiana Mitchison’s artwork was selected to be displayed in the TAEA Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin during the month of March.

May 18, 2023—Two pieces of art from two CFISD students were selected to be part of the 2023 Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin during the month of March.

Langham Creek High School junior Asiana Mitchison and Sampson Elementary School fifth grade student Sophie Nguyen both had their works selected out of the eight submitted by CFISD. Both Mitchison and Nguyen were recognized at the Youth Art Month annual awards ceremony on March 12.

The exhibit showcases Pre-K through 12th grade works of art from across the state of Texas as part of Youth Art Month, a nationally recognized program that emphasizes the value of art education for all children, encourages support for quality art programs and promotes the importance of art appreciation for all people.
