CFISD names assistant superintendent for school leadership

Assistant Superintendent: Kenneth Henry

June 2, 2022Kenneth Henry, elementary and middle school director of student services, was named the assistant superintendent for school leadership on May 31. Henry replaced Dr. Carla Brosnahan, who will retire in June.  

Henry has 24 years of experience in education, beginning in 1998 as a teacher in Texas City ISD before moving to Galveston ISD in 1999 where he served as a school social worker and intervention specialist. Henry then moved to La Marque ISD in 2003 where he served as a LIFE Skills high school teacher. He transitioned to CFISD in 2005, serving as a fifth grade teacher and at-risk coordinator at Lee Elementary School. Henry served as an assistant principal at Holmsley Elementary School and Alternative Learning Center-West for four years before being named the principal at Duryea Elementary School in 2014. Henry assumed his current position with the student services department in 2019.

Henry earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lamar University and his Master of Education from Concordia University. He participated in the Harvard Leadership Program, the CFISD Presenter Institute and is a PBIS district trainer.
