CFISD names new principal for Swenke Elementary School

April 26, 2024Courtney Nespeca, assistant principal at A. Robison Elementary School, was named the principal at Swenke Elementary School on April 26. Nespeca replaces Dr. Elizabeth Miller, who will retire in June.

Nespeca is in her 25th year in education. She began her career as a kindergarten and fifth grade teacher at Holmsley Elementary School, where she taught for eight years. She then became an instructional specialist at Keith Elementary School in 2007. Nespeca was named to her current position as an assistant principal at A. Robison in 2009. Nespeca also taught as a Cy-Fair education adjunct professor at Lone Star College—Cy-Fair for four years.

Throughout her career, Nespeca has participated in extensive training and leadership opportunities including the Aspiring Principal Institute and the CFISD Leadership Academy, and has served as a summer school principal.  

Nespeca earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University and her Master of Education in Administrative Leadership from Prairie View A&M University.
