June 22, 2021—Bridgeland High School 2021 graduates William Boucher and Reggie Bell earned Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) awards and scholarships, recognizing their outstanding academic and leadership achievements.

Boucher was awarded the TASSP Teens Serving Texas award, which recognizes high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in community service, leadership and personal accomplishments. Boucher is one of five seniors from across the state to win the award. He will receive a $500 scholarship and was recognized at the TASSP Virtual Summer Workshop on June 17.

Bell was named to the TASSP All-State Academic Excellence Team and is one of 20 seniors from across the state to be named to the team. Bell had to submit his SAT or ACT score, his GPA and write essays to be considered for the award. Bell was recognized during a virtual awards ceremony on June 17 and will receive a $500 scholarship.

Both Boucher and Bell were nominated for the awards by Bridgeland Principal Mike Smith.

“We are so proud of both Reggie and William,” said Traci Underwood, Bridgeland director of instruction. “Both of these awards speak to the excellence in both academics and community involvement that these Bears have exemplified in their time at Bridgeland. To be recognized by TASSP is an extraordinary honor.”
