Bridgeland High School graduate Emily Ellis was among 32 CFISD students named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team for girls’ track and field. Ellis earned first-team honors.

June 23, 2023—Thirty-two CFISD student-athletes in girls’ track and field earned Academic All-State honors and accolades for the 2022-2023 school year from the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA). Among them was Bridgeland High School senior Aba Onumah earning Elite honors.

Partnering with the Texas Army National Guard, THSCA recognizes students who earn all-state honors while excelling in the following categories: grade-point average, class rank and ACT/SAT scores. Honorees then earn Elite, first-team, second-team or honorable mention honors based on their scores and averages.

The following students earned THSCA Academic All-State honors:

Jersey Village High School graduate Aerial Johnson was among 32 CFISD student-athletes named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team in girls’ track and field.

Cypress Woods High School graduate Emma Opalacz was among 32 CFISD students named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team for girls’ track and field. Opalacz earned second-team honors.

Cypress Ranch High School graduate Camryn Clark was among 32 CFISD student-athletes named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team in girls’ track and field.
