Dr. Kristen Mattson is one half of the Dig Cit Doctors team and also teaches as an adjunct at the University of Illinois. Kristen is a former classroom teacher and school library media specialist who has authored two books, spoken at dozens of conferences, and has collaborated on projects with large districts, state departments, non-profit organizations and technology companies. When Kristen isn't working, she can typically be found in the car, bussing her three very busy children around town for their various activities. She also enjoys doing home renovation projects with her husband, Greg.

Dr. Kristen Mattson is the co-founder and managing partner of Edvolve as well as a lecturer in media and information literacy at the University of Illinois. She has been in education for nearly 20 years and her passion for digital citizenship led her to where she is today. Dr. Mattson is the author of Digital Citizenship in Action (ISTE, 2024) and Ethics in a Digital World (ISTE, 2021)
