The CFISD Board of Trustees approved Dr. Douglas Killian as the lone finalist for the incoming superintendent of schools.
The 2023 Houston Methodist Cy-Hoops Invitational is set for Dec. 7-9. The 24-team tournament features all 12 CFISD boys’ varsity teams competing against 12 out-of-district teams.
A public meeting will be held on December 14, 2023, for stakeholders to give feedback on the proposed District of Innovation plan.
The CFISD Police Department continued its annual tradition of serving families during the Thanksgiving holiday, partnering with H-E-B and Cy-Hope to deliver meals to 50 designated families throughout the district.
The 2023 middle school volleyball season concluded by crowning four outright district champions. Anthony MS won both the 8A and 8B championships. Sprague MS earned the 7A title, while Hamilton MS won the 7B championship.
The 2023 middle school football season concluded by crowning four outright district champions. Rowe MS won both the 8A and 8B championships. Spillane MS earned the 7A title, and Salyards MS won the 7B championship.
Forty-two CFISD athletes joined others across the country in signing letters of intent to participate in collegiate athletics during the early signing period.
