The District 16-6A and District 17-6A soccer seasons concluded March 20, with eleven CFISD boys’ and girls’ team from each side qualifying for the UIL playoffs.
Three pieces of art from three CFISD students were selected to be part of the 2024 Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin.
Eleven CFISD Destination Imagination teams qualified for the Lone Star Finals Affiliate State Tournament, scheduled for April 12-13 at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Bridgeland HS freshman Emma Cardenas’ artwork was chosen as the first winner in Precinct 4’s bus design contest “From Palette to Pavement: Student Art on Precinct 4 Buses.”
Cy-Fair HS junior Dylan Carroll was named 2024 Houston Student Visionary of the Year at the annual Houston Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Student Visionary Gala on March 2. Dylan raised more than $500,000 for the LLS Student Visionaries of the Year campaign.
A team of three Cypress Woods HS computer science students placed second overall in the Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HP) CodeWars Championship, held March 2 at the HP campus in Spring.
Representatives from Chick-fil-A on Spring Cypress and Grant roads visited the CFISD Visual and Performing Arts Center to give back to fine arts educators throughout the district.
Cypress Falls HS senior Reid Meekins was named the third place finalist for the Touchdown Club of Houston’s 2023 High School Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.
The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) held its 27th annual Salute to the Stars Gala in honor of CFISD’s 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year honorees March 7 at the Berry Center.
