Dr. April Strom is a mathematics professor at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, where she has taught for over 26 years. April is an official member of my Building Thinking Classrooms (BTC) professional development team who conducts training workshops (in-person and virtual) with K-16 mathematics teachers and administrators around the U.S. April infuses BTC into her own practices to elevate students’ engagement and success in learning mathematics. She has immense experience in leading professional development workshops with K-16 teachers, focused on building thinking classrooms, where teachers experience BTC practices from a student’s perspective and then reflect on their experience from a teacher’s perspective.
